Basic and Advanced Flight Training Rates
All basic training is done in your airplane, conducted in half day segments that are designed to provide the optimum between ground and flight training. On average, a session will include 1.5 hours preflight ground, 2 hours of actual flight time, followed by a half hour post flight debrief session. Experience has shown that this arrangement helps clients move through a given syllabus more efficiently, building time and experience in solid learning blocks and, in the long run, is most cost effective for the majority.
Those desiring accelerated training can do double sessions, accumulating 20 hours of flight time per week and complete a private or instrument course in a little over three weeks. This type of highly accelerated training depends entirely upon one’s ability to focus exclusively on the task at hand and, therefore, is not for everyone. In most cases, 3 to 4 sessions a week will provide the optimum and enable you to reasonably progress through the course in a matter of 2 to 3 months.
